Jamie Dennis is a cannabis professional who has experience in both recreational and medical markets in Illinois and Missouri. Jamie's success in the cannabis industry is largely based on her previous long term career experience in the pharmaceutical industry with CVS Health. She made the transition into cannabis working as a cannabis leader for Green Thumb Industries and later as a Senior Compliance Manager for Ascend Wellness Holdings. In the Missouri medical market, Jamie was responsible for the startup of all COCO Dispensary locations and is recognized among her peers as a strong leader who is experienced in building high performing teams with a commitment to employee education and engagement. Jamie was mentioned as a 2021 "Women to Watch" in Missouri by Greenway Magazine, and her passion and drive is what continues to create her path to success.

What do you love most about working in the Cannabis Industry?
I love working in the industry because I am able to create awareness about the medicinal benefits of cannabis. Reducing the stigma of this plant is my passion to promote health and wellness through the power of cannabis.

Who has been the biggest influence on your career?
The biggest influence on my career was a leader from CVS health that trusted me with my first management position in 2014. He encouraged me, helped me to believe in myself, and provided me a safe place to grow. I was developed as a leader, and he opened career doors for me in the pharmaceutical industry that recently led to a smooth transition to the cannabis industry in 2019. If he wouldn't had seen the potential in me, I would not be where I am today in my career. He showed me the importance of developing high performing teams and gave me the vision to see the potential in others to give them the chance that was once given to me.
